Hi! ヾ(´・ω・`)

Another post....so soon? Ahahaha I just decided to post some pictures of me because I don't usually do that and I'm sure you really want to see pictures of me....*silence*....ok maybe not LOL Ignore my poor attempts at humour please... (/ω\)

So yesterday I did the strangest thing....I went to university and did some work! Ugh, it didn't feel like a Saturday: it was long and boring and after awhile I got fed up and cam-whored:

Yes, my glasses are wonky ahahaha...

I always feel so strange not wearing glasses, because I've gotten so used to wearing them for years now. I've tried contacts but I really hated the whole process of putting them in and taking them out so no thanks. I'm so jealous of people who have good eyesight: I'd like to wear glasses for fashion and not as a necessity... *sighs*

Hair Accessories:

My blue headband is from New Look! They were doing a 3 for 2 offer ages ago so I purchased this blue one, a green one and a set of two smaller headbands: black and pink! I want to buy some mooooore!! I took a closeup pic of it to put on Instagram because I wanted to try out Chocomoo's stamps on Snapeee (an app similar to Instagram, but you have WAY more choice when it comes to decorating your pictures!)

Makeup:

I've only just started really experimenting with makeup. Although my look is so plain. I only wear black eyeliner and a lipstick/lip gloss combo. Mascara if I can be bothered lol. On special occasions I use bareMinerals tinted MINERAL VEIL and blush. That's it. So I'm not experienced in the realm of makeup. I really like wearing lipstick though and I'm looking for more colours to wear.

This one is from the Natural Collection, very cheap haha! It's the Hazelnut Moisture Shine lipstick. Over the top I put on the Vanilla Juicy Lips lip gloss (also from Natural Collection). I want to try red and purple. I really wanted to buy Azealia Bank's Yung Rapunxel purple lipstick but apparently it's only selling within the US? I don't know lol..

Shoes:

Ok so you know that I HAD to include something about shoes in this post haha! These are my favourite shoes EVER!! They are MARGE Black Leather Mary Janes from Topshop and I'd wear them everywhere if I could! Check them out here!

Annnnnnd here's today's me!

Hair Accessory: New Look
Denim Shirt: Mango (men's)
Black Hoodie: UNIQLO
Barbie T-shirt: UNIQLO
Gingham Skirt: American Apparel
Shoes (not shown): Black Patent Doc Martens

Ignore my posing please: I could never be a model ahahaha...ha  .・゜゜・(/。\)・゜゜・. Also, did you notice my "unique" placement of the deco stamps? LOL this isn't my room, my room's an absolute tip right now but I guess I can blame it on me being an extremely busy university student who is currently doing work experience AND has to hand in work to uni at the same time and it's so stressful and...yeah, enough of my life story. ( ;´Д`)

Hope you enjoyed!

Tokyo Boppers!

Ok so I think I've already established that I'm obsessed with shoes...well not obsessed but...ok I admit it I'm obsessed: I can't help it omg!  。゚(゚ノД`゚)゚。

So the brands I'm really loving right now are: Tokyo Boppers, Jeffrey Campbell (doesn't everyone?) and obviously UNDERGROUND because unf creepers yes please!!!

So in this post I'll be talking about Tokyo Boppers! Well, their actual brand names are Belly Button (1991) and UNBILICAL (1999). The shop called Tokyo Bopper opened in Harajuku in 1994 and has been extremely popular since then.  Tokyo Fashion has a really nice article about them here.

They have a variation of shoes in the following categories: 4-Inch Shoes, Ballerinas, Spiders, Ribbons, 2-Inch Moulds, Boots and Sandals. They also make shoes for men!

Ballerina's and Spider's

You'll always see plenty of cool kids wearing these in Japanese fashion magazines and streets snaps. I think that they suit a lot of the different types of fashion "genres": lolita, fairy kei, cult party kei, punk etc. My favourites are the white smooth platform boots, so cute ahhhh!!

Juria can often be seen in these...actually she's more in the Coltrane Buckle Ankle Jeffrey Campbell boots which I both love and hate ;;A;; but she used to wear these a lot and they make a reappearance every now and then! ^^

I also like the ivory ballerina's:

The only problem with Tokyo Boppers is that they're too expensive! Or maybe it's because I'm poor D:

If you want to check out their collection then visit the English web store here!

In other news...me and my friend are planning a big shopping haul from Japanese web stores next January omg, stores like SPINNS and Wego and Avantgarde (Disney/Sanrio tights galore!). But I can't spend too much though because I need to save up for (hopefully) a well deserved holiday during summer next year...this is what it's like being a uni student: you're always broke! *sighs*

Also, kinda late but did you hear about Kyary's international tour? So far she's only mentioned France and Belgium but 8 more countries have yet to be announced, and I'm hoping that England is one of them!!

Queen Kyary

Annnnnnnd today is my second year the GazettE anniversary!!! I was going to make a post about it today but I decided to talk about Tokyo Boppers instead heh! But I'm very happy that I got to listen to them and words cannot describe how great they are, in my opinion. My first song was SHIVER and ever since then they have captured my heart (and my bank account). Ok I'm gonna stop now before this gets too embarrassing... (/ω\)

Thanks for reading!

Kyary on the cover of Dazed and Confused!

Last week I heard about Kyary appearing on the cover of Dazed & Confused (a British fashion magazine) and ever since then I was frantically counting down the days until I could get my hands on a copy.

Doesn't she look great?! Little did I know who else would be featured in the magazine...

For some reason this reminds me so much of H.Naoto...

Omg, so many great people! It would've been even better if Si Oux was in it, how did they miss out her amazing red hair? And Momo as well tbh but despite that it was great to see them in a British magazine. Hopefully UK shops will start stepping up their game and London fashion will get inspiration from the East Asia...As you can see they all have Instagram, so follow them if you like!!!

Fangirling commences in 3 2 1...

NHK World

NHK World (on UK channel SKY 507) is a Japanese news channel aimed at their overseas audience. They have programmes ranging from general news, music, food and various other aspects of the Japanese culture.

The programme I like is:

J-Melo

This programme focuses on Japanese music. The host May J often interviews lots of different artists and they have subtitles in English so we can understand, yay! In earlier episodes this year she interviewed the GazettE and VAMPS omg!!! I basically started watching this programme for the GazettE lol but they have other artists too so check them out!! Here's the link to their website.

The programme I'd most like to see is:

Kawaii International

This programme showcases the "kawaii culture": basically it's a show for everything cute!! Episode 3 featured the Malaysian blogger Cheesie and Rin Rin who models for the brand Angelic Pretty. Here's the link to their website.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to record the latest episodes of my favourite programmes. However, there is the opportunity to vote for the ones that you might have missed...or that you've already seen but you'd like to watch them again! So don't miss out on the chance to see them. Vote here! The results will be released in December! ^^

Also Hyper Japan is coming up, on 23-25 November!!

It's a UK event that brings various parts of the Japanese culture all in one place. You get to try some food, view fashion catwalks, listen to bands performing and more! I've never been before so I really hope that I'll be able to go! For more information about this event please click on these links:

I apologise for the lack of pictures...and the fact that this is really short. I'm so busy nowadays ugh... o(╥﹏╥)o

Despite this, I really hope that you enjoyed reading this! ^^

Victoria and Albert Museum!

Long time no blog post eh? I guess I've been really busy with work and what not...This time I'll be talking about my wonderful day that I spent with the fabulous, beautiful Jingen!!! We went to the Victoria & Albert Museum and wandered around the fashion exhibit like the fashionistas we are! XD Since I'm an idiot and didn't take a picture of the building or entrance I just took these pictures from their website meh.

So after wondering around aimlessly we got the smart idea to actually LOOK at the map and saw the fashion section and headed straight for it!! It contained fashions from various eras, including the 1960's/70's, work-style clothing (think plaid, tailor-made suits) and an exhibition of ballroom gowns. (which we had to pay to see so we didn't bother haha) Here are some pictures from the fashion section:

We also found out about the Kitty and the Bulldog: Lolita fashion and the influence of Britain exhibition in the Toshiba Gallery. It was very small, but it gave us a taste of some of the various Lolita fashions. I almost died because of all these brands in the same room omg!

Baby, The Stars Shine Bright

Alice and The Pirates
Some pictures of us in the V&A Gift Store:

Ignore my non-existent purikura skills please

After walking around the museum we walked to Knightsbridge tube station passing Harrods, which had displays of Disney Princesses (omg!!) and I couldn't resist taking some pictures!! Please excuse me for the extremely bad quality of these pictures: I'll just show the best of the bunch...

Who is this snoozing Disney princess? Wakey wakey!!

Clues to help (especially the pic on the right)
This Disney princess has an awesome view of Topshop, and a lovely golden apple to munch on while she's enjoying it!

Hmmm, I wonder who sleeps here?

Ok so that wasn't hard at all LOL, the answers are obviously.......

Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) and Snow White! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚*✲

After drooling over the princesses gorgeous dresses, we went into Harrods and pretended that we were posh....but it didn't work because we ended up heading towards the nearest mirror to take pictures LOL:

And to end our adventure: food!

My bento on the left, Jingen's dish on the right.
We went to a restaurant in Chinatown. Om nom nom, omg the food was so nice (even though I hardly ate anything on my plate, it was practically full when I finished) omg but it was so tasty: I'd definitely go back there again!! ヽ(;▽;)ノ

Here are a couple of useful links about the Victoria & Albert museum:

(PS: there are better pictures of the Lolita outfits on their website so you don't actually have to look at mine ;;)

Waaaaah, today was fun fun fun!!! Hope you liked this post!
